A friend of mine recently 'eloped' to Gretna Green and got married, so thought I should make them a card. As they aren't in the first bloom of youth I didn't really know what to do. But Joanna Sheen to the rescue with her lovely Faye Whittiker cd. I made a card with the background paper and topper from the cd, I trimmed the edge of the card with pearls and cotton lace. Job done.

Old Shep & Tie A Yellow Ribbon
I'm having to play catch up this week, with the Blog challenges. The theme for Craftyann this week is an Elvis theme and Rainbow Ladies is Tie a Yellow Ribbon. So this quick card fills both topics quite nicely. Old Shep is one of my all time favourite Elvis songs makes me bawl like a toddler who can't get her own way every time. The image is fom Joanna's Victorian Companion and the backing paper is from MCS Friday, 11 March 2011
Muuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuvvvvvvvvveeeeeeeeeeer!

Thankfully Bobster has just scraped under the wire with 24 hours to spare. Its 'im indoors hip hip hooray day tomorrow. So Muvver had to knock up another card pdq. The "Old Man" thing is a joke between O H and the Bobster and the greeting exchanged on the landing at stoopid O'clock when they are going or coming home from work ...... shiftworkers tut!The fair Lady Joanna of Sheen, has saved the day again with the Cd ATC Assitant

St Patricks Day/ Luck of the Irish
I have waited yeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaars to use this lovely image from Joanna Sheens Victorian Angels & Fairies cd. Being a huge Angel Fan I love this cd with a passion. I stole the 4 leaf clover backing paper from another image on the cd. The topper has been matted and layered with a gorgeous green mirror card. Purists would pick holes in this as is it a little Irish fella in the green with his back to us or is it an elf in hs nightshirt? Who cares? I think its a wee Irish Guy and I love him!!Right, I'm going to send this charming little card to Cd Sunday

Flowers For Little Claire
Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!! Too cute to resist. The backing paper is from Joanna Sheens Precious Petals cd which I have put a faux stitching line around. The digi stamp is from Sliekja, I just love her cute stamps and best of all they are free, one for every occassion. I have coloured the image with ever faithful Promarkers and continued the homespun stitchy theme. This one is off to Little Claires Challenge

Firmly Focused on Summer! So There!!!

Backing paper courtesy of the Stokeinteignhead Temptress, the one and only lovely Joanna, comes from her Precious Petals cd. Until I made some baby cards the other week I had forgotten how many fabulous backing paper there was on the cd. Now we all love a freebie don't we? and every month finds me in the newsagents scanning all the magazines to see if there are any freebies on them that take my fancy. Sass logic is this, something to read and a freebie thrown in! This little cutie was part of a set given away with Simply Cards & Papercraft and coloured with Promarkers. Not my usual style of card and I leave it to you to judge whether I've cracked it or not!
I'm a bit concerned though about all this cuteness in my cardmaking, I think I must be getting more girlie in my old age!!
A Wobbly Scan
Ok, so I probably take the worse piccies in blogland and my scanning is hit and miss. This is a card I have made from Joanna Sheen's Fashion Boutique cd and backingpaper from MCS Library Flowers and featuring (drum roll please)........................................ another spool of 'That' ribbon again. This is going to be packed off now to The Cd Sunday Challenge Blog for this weeks challenge 'Art Nouveau'

To Welcome Baby Sky
New Grandparents
This is a card for Ian's friend and his wife who became the proud Grandparents of Baby Sky on Thursday. On the Butterfly it says Congratulations on your Membership of the Nana and Grumpy Club. Yes it really does say Grumpy! The butterfly, backing paper and topper are all from Precious Petals from the Joanna Sheen stable.Thursday, 6 January 2011
It's So Good To Visit Old Friends

Todays offering comes from one of Joanna cd's. I found this image on a sheet I printed off ages ago and imediately wanted to play with it. All the paper is from my scraps box, the scroll is from one of the Glitter Girls Boards. I have spent the last few days 'spring cleaning' my computer, a job I wish 'd never started. I do feel quite virtuous now its done though. How many clipart piccies can one use in a lifetime? I suppose I thought they might come in useful one day.
I am now going to reward myself with a nice glass of Rose Port that my Cyber-Sister Dawnywol and family gave me for Christmas, CHEERS!

Bedtime Stories for Little Dogs
A really cute little stamp from Sugar Nellie. I treated the image simply as it speaks for itself. I coloured the image with SURPRISE!!! Promarkers, cut out the image and mounted it on 2 pieces of gingham paper from Joanna Sheen Ltd. I just adore this image and I am finding that it is very easy to get the shadowing on with the Promarkers. I think I am finally getting the hang of it. I really NEED more of these glorious pens though lol

Walk Like An Egyptian
The backingpaper and decoupage are from Joanna Sheen's Egyptian Adventures. The paper pieces are from the scraps box. I made the paper damp with a mister, I scrunched it up and dabbed it on a weathered wood distressed ink pad. I then dampened the paper again and rescrunched it and dabbed it in a little bit of cosmic shimmer mist in Ancient Copper. The images are stamped in distressed ink in Soot Black.

Baby Boy Messy
I am having a scraps binge at the moment I stamped Messy onto some white scrap card and coloured the image with Promarkers. I stamped 'BABY' onto a light blue gingham stripe and heat embossed in gold. In the depths of the scrap box I found some lovely white card with an embossed diamond pattern which I used to mat the stamped images onto. This was then matted onto a darker blue gingham. The Messy Rabbit and gingham papers are both from Joanna Sheen Ltd

Scraps Galore
I expect you have already realised that my workroom is in the process of having a massive sort out and tidy up. Consequently my scraps box is bulging at the seams. This is a little card that I put together very simply using scrap card and paper. The bear is from Joanna Sheen ltd and is coloured with Lyra Aqua Colours. Its a card that I have to send frequently telling people I'm sorry, I seem to suffer with very bad 'foot in mouth' and only take my foot out of my mouth to swap it for the other one.

70's Inspired
This is a U-Mount stamp which reminded me of some wallpaper that my Mum had in the 1970's. I coloured the stamp in with Promarkers. Stamped and cut out some extra flowers to decorated the top edge of the card blank which I cut on a angle. I put a piece of gingham paper from Joanna Sheen behind the front and added a Happy Birthday peeloff. The muted colours and the retro flowers work very well together. I just wish I was a better photographer as the photo's don't do the card justice

Gorgeous Cat
Another quick but very striking card. I made this for my Nan as she is cat mad. It is from Joanna Sheen's Jane Netley Mayhew CDRom. The image has been matted and layered onto sage green card which matches the colour of the cats eyes. The edges of the mats have been done with a gold PenTouch pen and gold peeloff matted on to it. I was very pleased with this exceptionally quick card.

A Messy Birthday
I do love this little chap from Joanna Sheen. This was a very quick card for a little girl who loves books. I printed one of the images from the pop out section and matted and layered it with red mirror card and a sheet of backing paper from the cdrom. With the addition of a peeloff the job was done in no time at all. A super speed card which was well recieved over the garden fence.

Messy Fathers Day
2 Stamped Messy images, coloured in with Lyra Water Crayons using a Koi waterbrush 1 sheet of backing paper and one sheer of images from the Messy Rabbit CDRom. I have also used the accesories from the Messy stamps to embelish. I keep all the sentiment boxes when I print off a sheet and were they are interactive I check my diary so that I always have loads of appropriate sentiments for the coming creations. I have pinched Sue Smiths idea of rolling the paper. I did have fun with these and I love having to create 2 different looking cards from the same products, it makes my brain cell work a bit harder

Cottage Garden Card
This is a card from Joanna Sheen's Cottage Garden CDRom. I made this for my 'soon to be Mother in Law' for her birthday. It is all from the Cdrom with just the addition of scraps from my scrap box for the matting and layering. The image I chose came from the decoupage section of the cd.
Himself's Mum lived in a cottage very similar to this in Bossington West Somerset, so I am hoping that this card will bring back some happy memories for her.
At the moment I am not keeping too well, and I am having problems with my hands. I have been banned from using a craft knife and I can only type using 2 pencils with erasers on the top to press the keys. I went for some tests yesterday but they had to be 'aborted' as they couldn't get the results they needed.
I am still crafting, albeit very slowly and am discovering ways to do things so that I can still make cards. It is a nuisance but ' I will suceed' !! Funny isn't it? I can find ways to carry on crafting but finding ways to do housework, well thats not so easy !! lol
