Joanna Sheen Fest continues, with this lovely image again from the decoupage papers Kate Greenaway III. I have used Joanna Sheen paisley backing paper and most of the images from the decoupage sheet. Although you can't see with my rotten photography is the depth of the image. It is all put together on dark blue stardream card, giving it a lovely rich feel. This may well be the card I give my friend for her 60th birthday this evening. On the other hand..................er um!!!

Cute Companions rock in my humble opinion. My crafting, has taken a bit of a slump just lately and I've not done anywhere near as much crafting as usual.
I love this little chap flying in with his envelope with just a note. I have again used the Cute Companion stamps and cd.
I have used Lyra Water Colour crayons to colour the mouse and water coloured the butterfly with Sakura stardust pens. I made two slits along the branch and put the mouse through the slit. his body is mounted with 3D foam pads and the butterfly is mounted using silicon gel.

Surprise! You've got it! I just can't leave these lovely decoupage images from Joanna Sheen Ltd alone, Yes I know I don't 'do' decoupage and I know I get impatient with it, but these Kate Greenway pictures are just enchanting here I have a card embossed with butterflies (source forgotten) and I have simply used the elements on the decoupage sheet.

Yes! I am very nosey, so I would be the lady on the left of the picture!!

Another Wedding card, this time its with the Cute Companions stamps and cdrom. I love these little cuties designed by the extremely talented Jayne Nestorenko. The backing paper and the background for these little mice are from the cd. The mice are coloured with Lyra Water Colour crayons and a koi waterbrush. I have then just added some satin ribbon with a picot edge just to make a real celebratory card.

Wedding Ala Kate Greenaway III from Joanna Sheen (of course, am I biased? Mmmm just a bit) Ivory stardream card, for the base some scrap pink for matting and a very delicate chiffon bow. This card needed a great deal of patience for someone like me who doesn't 'do' decoupage, all those tiny little rose buds challenged me to my limits!!! It is, I hope you will agree worth the effort.

This card is made again for one of those sad occasions. It is an image from Kate Greenaway III by Joanna Sheen Ltd. It uses cotton lace, plain burgandy card stock, gold stardream card and paisley backing paper all from Joanna Sheen Ltd..........Do you detect a theme here? It is completed with 3 burgandy arum lilies tied with narrow ivory ribbon. Decoupage isn't normally my thing, but when the images are this lovely I just can't refuse (well it would be rude to wouldn't it?)

As you can see I still haven't worked out how to get rid of the date or put it right on my camera yet. that was always my hubbies job, just one of many I have to work out for myself now. I do hope that my dreadful photography doesn't spoil your enjoyment of my cards. I promise I will try harder.

Now for Something Different, I seem to be doing an awful lot of sympathy cards, this one is a bit different as it could be used for any religious occasion. The best thing is that it only uses up odds 'n' ends from the bulging scraps box. I have simply cut out a cross and Iris folded scraps, punched a border, used some peeloffs and used one of my treasured rose sprays. I've just noticed that not only am I a lousy photographer I don't know how to change the camera date either!!!

I apologise for the quality of this photo. There is so much nasty stuff going on in my life and photography has never been one of my great skills.
This card I made during the night while insomnia had me in its grip, this is a very straight forward parchment pattern from the lovely Christine Colman. It is a very a simple embossed and pricked card, with the parchment used as a jacket over some dark blue stardust card which, although I can't remember, probably came from Joanna Sheen Ltd
I hope you like it

Hello & Welcome

This is a old card, but I thought I would start my Blog by showing it to you.
I made it for a forum friend who's Nan had died.
The image is from Joanna Sheen Ltd and was coloured with Sakura Glaze pens.
It is one of those cards that sadly we all have to put together very quickly from time to time. This really only took about 20 minutes, but I thought it was quite striking in its simplicity
